Pool Rules
IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!! Babies and
children who are not yet toilet trained
MUST wear swim diapers while swimming.
This will prevent severe E. coli
infections. Another reason for this is
that disposable diapers can disintegrate
and cause damage to the filter system.
- The hours the pool is open for
use are as follows:
Weekdays: 10:00 am—9:00 pm available
for any homeowner and families.
9:00—10:00 pm adults only.
Saturday and Sunday: same as
weekdays.
Note: The Board of Directors may
designate special occasions as
adults only when scheduled by the
Social Committee.
These hours were selected so
maintenance could be performed on
the pool. During the maintenance
time, the pool is vacuumed, the
filters cleaned, and the water
treated with chemicals. Because
these chemicals can cause irritation
or harm to the body, the pool will
be locked and no one will be allowed
in the pool area until the pool is
safe. If the chemicals cannot keep
the pool balanced, the pool will
have to be closed on day a week to
help balance the chemicals. This can
occur during very hot, long, dry
periods. In this event the pool will
be closed on Mondays and a sign
posted stating that the pool is
closed. Please be patient if this
occurs; it will be for the safety of
all.
- No one under the age of 14 will
be allowed in the pool area unless
escorted by an adult (18 years or
older).
- To keep the annual assessments
as low as possible, the board of
directors elected not to hire a
lifeguard for the pool. Because of
this we cannot allow unescorted
children in the pool area. Due to
legal obligations and the safety of
our children, this rule should be
adhered to and enforced by every
member of the Homeowners
Association. In addition, teenagers
ages 14 to 17 may only have two
friends in the pool area when they
are unescorted by an adult.
Keep the pool area, clubhouse, and
restrooms clean. The homeowners are
maintaining the pool area,
clubhouse, and restrooms. Help make
their work easier and your
facilities more enjoyable by picking
up after yourself and your children.
Put cigarettes in the ashtrays and
trash in the trashcans. Check after
your young children have used the
bathrooms to make sure there is no
mess.
4. Please return chairs to the
places you found them. Do not remove
pool furniture from inside the fence
5. Roll down the umbrellas after
use. High winds can lift the
umbrellas and cause injury to others
and loss of the umbrellas.
6. Please be courteous and do not
“reserve” a lounge chair for later
use by leaving your towel on it for
long periods of time when you are
not using the chair.
7. No glass in the pool area. THIS
INCLUDES ADULT PARTIES!! If you must
use glass, take it in the clubhouse.
8. No eating while sitting or
standing in the pool.
9. No running, shoving, or dunking
allowed in the pool area.
10. No pets allowed inside the
fenced area of the pool or inside
the clubhouse.
11. No swimming during thunderstorms
12. No abusive or threatening
language will be tolerated.
13. No small objects should be
thrown in the pool (coins, keys,
small toys, etc.); these objects can
severely damage the pumps and
filtration system. No balls or toys
to be thrown around pool area---only
balls intended for water play are
allowed.
14. Please keep the gate to the pool
area locked at all times, even when
swimming. This is to prevent use by
non-members and unescorted children.
15. No member shall lend his or her
key to anyone else for access to the
pool area. No member shall have
access to the facilities unless his
assessment dues have been paid. No
non-member shall have access to the
facilities unless accompanied by a
member in good standing. Guests must
abide by all rules.
16. Violations of these rules will
be handled as follows:
a. First offense—Violator will be
asked to leave the pool area for the
remainder of the day. Parent
(homeowner) will be contacted by a
Social Committee Director and
notified of the first violation.
b. Second offense—Violator will be
asked to leave the pool area for the
remainder of the day. Parent
(homeowner) will be contacted by a
Social Committee Director and
notified of the second violation.
c. Third offense—Violator’s pool
privileges will be suspended until
the parent (homeowner) has paid a
$25.00 fine. Parent (homeowner) will
be notified by a Social Committee
Director.
d. Fourth offense—Violator’s pool
privileges will be suspended for the
duration of the pool season. Only a
Board of Director’s vote may lift
suspension. This must be requested
in writing by the parent (homeowner)
at a regularly scheduled Homeowners
Association meeting. Parent
(homeowner) will be notified of the
Board’s decision by an Officer of
the Board by mail.
Let’s have a safe, fun summer at the
pool. Please be courteous and aware
of everyone’s right to enjoy the
facilities.
